Man found in car with gunshot wound to the chest dies in Southwest Baltimore

BALTIMORE — Officials say a man died after being shot in the chest on Thursday.

At a little after midnight, patrol officers arrived to the 2000 block of Hollins Ferry Road for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found a 36-year-old man, inside of a vehicle with a gunshot wound to the chest.

The victim was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

On June 17, police identified the man as Jawan Dukes.
