Man in Southeast Baltimore dies from gunshot wound to stomach

BALTIMORE, Md. — Baltimore Police is currently investigating a Saturday morning shooting and homicide.

The homicide happened at around 2:30 a.m. when officers were called to the 400 block of North Bouldin Street for a report of a shooting. When they arrived, the found an adult male with a gunshot wound to his stomach. He was taken to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

On April 11, police identified the man as 38-year-old Johi Blackman.

The shooting happened at a little after 3 a.m., when officers were called to the 300 block of Bruce Street for a report of a Shotspotter alert. Officers ended up finding an adult male with a gunshot wound to his leg. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Detectives from the Citywide Shooting Unit are investigating this shooting and homicide detectives are investigating the homicide.
