Man injured after gunman shoots him in his car near MedStar Harbor Hospital

BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police are investigating a shooting that involved a man getting shot near a hospital in South Baltimore.

Police say officers were called to the parking lot of MedStar Harbor Hospital just before 1 p.m. Monday for the reported shooting. Officers at the scene, observed doctors aiding a 20-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his upper torso.

Investigators report that the man was driving his car in the 3100 block of South Hanover Street when an unknown gunman shot him. They say after the man was shot, he drove himself to the hospital. It is still unknown if the shooter was in a car or on foot.

Homicide and shooting detectives are investigating this incident.
