Man killed Monday afternoon in Central Park Heights

A man was killed midday Monday in Baltimore's Central Park Heights neighborhood, Baltimore Police said.

Officers from the Northwest District responded to reports of a shooting in the 3000 block of Oakley Avenue at about 1:18 p.m. There police found 30-year-old Garfield Leon suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his face. Medics arrive and pronounced him dead at the scene.

The killing continues a grizzly trend from the weekend, in which seven people were killed during nine shootings. Prior to the murder in Northwest Baltimore, a man was killed in Rosemont Monday morning.
