Police are investigating a Sunday morning shooting in East Baltimore.
Officers arrived to the scene in the 1600 block of North Port Street for a reported shooting. There they found a 38-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the stomach. The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Detectives leading the investigation learned that the victim was being robbed before he was shot.
