Man shot and killed in Baltimore's third Sunday homicide

A 24-year-old man is dead after being shot in Southwest Baltimore.

Just after 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, police responded to the 500 block of Normandy Avenue for a report of a shooting.

Upon their arrival, officers found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds.

Officials say the man was transported to Shock Trauma, where he later died.

The incident was Baltimore's third homicide on Sunday, as two men were stabbed to death within two hours earlier in the day nearby.

This follows a  week in which Baltimore experienced a large spike in deadly violence.
