A Northern District patrol officer responded to the unit block of West 20th Street for a report of a shooting at 1 p.m.
The officer found a 39-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the arm at the location. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Police believe the victim was standing on the block when an unidentified suspect fired at him before fleeing.
