Baltimore police are investigating a shooting that happened in the Southwest District early Saturday morning.
At a little after 5:15 a.m., officers were called to an area hospital to investigate a walk-in shooting victim that was seeking medical treatment. When the officers arrived, they observed a 30-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds.
After taking control of the investigation, the Citywide Shooting detectives learned that the victim was shot while being in the 4100 block of Frederick Avenue. The victim was driven to the hospital by a Good Samaritan and hospital personnel ended up finding a loaded handgun in his possession.
