BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police are investigating a shooting that seriously injured a man in West Baltimore Wednesday afternoon.
Police say officers were alerted of the shooting by a shotspotter on the 900 block of Whittmore Avenue.
At the scene, officers found a 25-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds to his body. During an investigation into the incident, detectives learned that the man was sitting in his car on Whittmore Avenue when he was shot by an unknown gunman.
The man was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
