BALTIMORE — Police say that a young woman was shot in the arm after she was approached by a group of men.
On Saturday, at a little after 4 p.m., officers arrived to the 5600 block of Woodmont Avenue for a report of a shooting. Once at the location, officers found a 19-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the arm. Officers immediately applied a tourniquet until medics arrived.
Once they arrived, the victim was transported to an area hospital, where she is expected to survive.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was at a gas station in the 5600 block of Purdue when a group of males approached her. One suspect pulled out a handgun and shot the woman in the arm before fleeing the location.
Just under an hour later, another shooting took place in Central Baltimore.
At about 5 p.m., patrol officers arrived to the 1800 block of McCulloh Street for a report of a double shooting. Once on location, officers located two adult male victims; one was suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg and the other was suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck.
