One 58-year-old man dead and another hospitalized; BPD investigate homicide and shootings

The Baltimore Police Department is investigating an incident that left one 58-year-old man dead and another hospitalized.

The homicide happened on Friday night, at about 10:45 p.m., when officers were called to the 4700 block of Franklintown Road for a reported shooting. When they arrived, they found the 58-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds to his body. He was eventually pronounced dead at the scene.

The other 58-year-old man was involved in a shooting and there were three of them, so let's go in order.

The first happened at about 8:40 p.m. on Friday night when officers were called to an area hospital for a report of a walk-in shooting victim. When they arrived, they found a 20-year-old man being treated for gunshot wounds to his body.

Detectives believe he was shot while in the 5400 block of Ready Avenue.

The second shooting happened at a little after 9:30 p.m. when officers were called to the 1400 block of Ostend Street for a report of a shooting. When officers got to the scene, they found a 49-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to her leg. The woman was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

The last shooting, which involves the other 58-year-old man, happened early Saturday morning, at a little before 4:55 a.m. Officers were called to an area hospital for a report of a walk-in shooting victim and, when they arrived to the hospital, they found the 58-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his leg.

Investigators believe that he was inside of a home, in the 4300 block of Garrison Boulevard, when he was shot.
