BALTIMORE — One man is dead and another is hospitalized following two overnight shootings.
The first happened late Monday night at around 11:45 p.m., when officers were called to an area hospital for a shooting victim that had recently walked in. Upon their arrival, officers found a 31-year-old man that was suffering from gunshot wounds to his right calf and heel.
Shooting detectives that are investigating this shooting learned that the victim was shot in the 1500 block of W. North Avenue but, aside from giving that information, the victim has been very uncooperative.

The next shooting, which ended up being a homicide, happened early Tuesday morning.
At a little before 12:15 a.m., officers received a shot spotter alert in the 2200 block of Wilkens Avenue. Officers arrived to find a 26-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. The victim was taken to Shock Trauma where he died a short time later.
Homicide detectives are investigating this murder and, at the moment, have no suspects or motives.
