One dead, another injured in East Baltimore double shooting

BALTIMORE — A double shooting in East Baltimore on Tuesday left one person dead and another injured, according to Baltimore Police.

Officers were called to the 800 block of North Belnord for a reported shooting and found 26 year-old Deshawn McCoy with gunshot wounds to the head and back, as well as a 25-year-old man with gunshot wounds to the back and stomach.

McCoy was pronounced dead at the scene and medics transported the 25-year-old to a hospital for treatment. His condition has not been released at this time.

Baltimore Police have not said anything about a suspect. Homicide detectives are asking anyone with information to contact them at 410-396-2100.

This is now the fourth person shot, two of them dying, in less than 24 hours in Baltimore, not including a deadly police-involved shooting Sunday night at 11:40 p.m.

According to WMAR-2 News' records, this is the 67th homicide in the city so far in 2019.
