One dead, two injured in three shootings during one hour in Baltimore

One man was killed and another man and a woman were injured in three separate shootings that took place in less than an hour Friday afternoon in Baltimore, Baltimore Police said.

Western District police were notified of the first shooting at about 12:54 p.m. Officers responded to the 1200 block of W. North Avenue in the Penn North neighborhood, where they found a 19-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Police believe the man was shot in the 1200 block of Clendenin Street, roughly a block away.

About a half-hour later, Southern District officers were called to the 900 block of Honaker Court in Brooklyn for a reported shooting. There police found a 28-year-old woman who had been shot in the leg. She was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Citywide shooting detectives are investigating both shootings. Anyone with information should call 410-396-2221.

About 10 minutes after that, at about 1:34 p.m., Northwest District officers were called to a shooting in the 5400 block of Reisterstown Road in the city's Woodmere neighborhood. There, police found a man who had been shot inside a vehicle. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
