BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police are investigating two shootings across the city that left one man dead and another injured.
At around 3:16 p.m., police responded to the 400 block of Laurens Street for discharging.
Upon arrival, they found a 26-year-old man who was suffering from a gunshot wounds to the upper torso.
He was transported to an area hospital and is in surgery and in critical condition.
Central District shooting detectives are investigating this incident and are asking anyone with information to call (410) 396-2411 or call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.
About an hour later, at 4:31 p.m., officers responded to the 1300 block of Lakewood Avenue for a shotspotter alert and found a 29-year-old man who had been shot in the upper torso.
Police say he was conscious and breathing as he was transported to Johns Hopkins Hospital, but was later pronounced dead.
Homicide detectives are investigating this murder and at this time, know of no suspects and have no motives.
