Police are investigating two Friday night shootings in East Baltimore, one resulting in a homicide.
Officers were called to the 1600 block of E. Lanvale Street for a report of a shooting at 8:27 p.m., there they found a 28-year old man with gunshot wounds to his body. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Citywide Shooting Unit detectives leading the investigation believe the victim was in the 1700 block of N. Bond Street when he was shot.
At 11:07 p.m., a patrol officer heard gunshots in the area of the 3400 block of Leverton Street. There, officers found a 27-year old man with gunshot wounds to his body. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.
It is not determined if the two crimes were related.
