One woman dead, several injured after quadruple shooting in Northeast Baltimore

BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police are investigating a deadly quadruple shooting in Northeast Baltimore.

Police say just after 3 a.m. Friday, a resident flagged an officer down to respond to an incident at a home on the 1600 block of East 29th Street. In the home, officers found 51-year-old Karen Lovings dead from gunshot wounds. They also located two additional people who suffered gunshot injuries.

Both of the injured victims were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

It was reported that moments after the incident, a 22-year-old woman who also lived in the home walked into a local hospital for treatment for gunshot wounds.

During an investigation, homicide detectives learned that just the night before around 11:40 p.m., police were called to the residence for a reported dispute.
