A man was found shot at S. Calvert & E. Lombard Streets in downtown Baltimore early Monday morning.
Officers responded to the unit block of S. Calvert Street just after 4:30 a.m. for reports of a shooting. Police arrived to find a man on the sidewalk suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper body.
The victim was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
All lanes on S. Calvert Street have reopened to traffic.
Baltimore Police addressed an update on this incident in an afternoon media briefing:
The shooting marks the 99th homicide so far this year in Baltimore.
