Dix was a senior music major at the College of Liberal Arts.
On Tuesday, his family and BPD detectives conducted an area canvass looking for witnesses or information related to the case.
"It seems like since this happened we're existing, we're no longer living because our puzzle is not complete anymore. Our circle has officially been broken and we're just spending each day figuring out how we can it back together with what we have left."
