BALTIMORE — A shot spotter alert led officers to the scene of a double homicide on Thursday evening.

Baltimore Police say they got the call at 8:18 p.m. for the 500 block of S. Bentalou Street.

Arriving officers found two unidentified adult males in the block suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were pronounced dead on scene.

On June 17, police identified the two victims as Tory Palmer, 28, and Devin Taylor, whose age was not released.

It's unclear what led to the shooting. Police didn't release information on any possible suspects involved.

The incident follows two other homicides reported earlier in the day in Southwest Baltimore.

Just before the clock struck midnight, a 36-year-old man was found shot inside a vehicle in the 2000 block of Hollins Ferry Road. He was taken to a hospital where he later died.

On June 17, police identified the man as Jawan Dukes.

Then a little before noon, across the district another adult male was shot to the head in the 2200 block of Chelsea Terrace. The victim died a short time later at an area hospital.

So far in 2019, there have been 140 homicides.
