As the holiday weekend comes to a close, police are investigating two Sunday homicides and a double shooting.

The latest incident was reported just before 3 p.m. in the 3700 block of W. Belvedere Avenue in Northwest Baltimore.

Responding officers found a 49-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to an area hospital where he later died.

Less than three hours earlier, officers in the Eastern District were called to the 1200 block of E. Lanvale Street for a shooting.

There officers found two males ages 33 and 35-years-old with gunshot wounds to the arm and leg respectively. Each were taken to a local hospital.

In the early morning hours, around 1:20 a.m. a man was shot and killed in the 5600 block of Midwood Avenue. Police say he has not yet been identified.

These incidents cap off a long violent holiday weekend that began on Thanksgiving night when two people were shot within two hours in Southwest Baltimore.

The following day five people were shot in four separate incidents. Two occurred in less than a half hour early Friday afternoon. Later that night two more were reported within an hour in Northeast Baltimore. One of those victims sustained life threatening injuries.

Anyone with information on any of the violence is asked to contact Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-8667Lockup.
