Police investigating how 27-year-old woman ended up dead Saturday in South Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WMAR) — Homicide detectives are investigating how a 27-year-old woman ended up dead, Saturday afternoon in South Baltimore.

Officers first got the call around 3:30 p.m. for an unresponsive woman in the 3700 block of Potee Street.

When they got there, police found the woman suffering from some form of trauma to the body.

Medics pronounced the victim dead on scene.

Police didn't specify what kind of trauma was found on the body.

The woman's name was not released. An autopsy is expected to determine her cause of death.

There have been no arrests in the case.

The incident was the second murder that happened in Baltimore on Saturday.

Less than three hours earlier, in Northeast Baltimore, an unknown male and 15-year-old boy were shot around Ravenwood Avenue and Belair Road.

The unknown male victim later died at an area hospital.
