BALTIMORE — A day after the shooting of a 26-year-old man in the Gwynn Falls/Leakin Park neighborhood, Baltimore Police announced the arrest of the alleged gunman.

Sunday, officers responded to a reported shooting in the 1300 block of N. Wooding Road at about 2:45 a.m. Officers found the male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his left shoulder. He was taken to an area hospital where he was treated.

Investigators were quickly able to identify a suspect, police said. On Monday they arrested 25-year-old Dejas McGill, of the 2700 block of Lauretta Avenue. McGill was picked up in the 100 block of N. Calvert Street by a Warrant Apprehension Task Force.
