Police respond to three overnight shootings; one fatal

A 28-year-old man is dead after being shot in the head just after midnight.

 Police say they were called to the 1400 block of North Caroline Street for a shooting around 12:30 a.m.

When they arrived they found the victim with a gunshot wound to the head.  He was transported to Johns Hopkins Hospital where he died a short time later.

Investigations reveal the victim was walking in the area when an unknown suspect approached him and shot him in the head.

About an hour later, police were called to the 18800 block of East Lafayette Avenue for another shooting.

This time they found a 53-year-old man shot in the stomach.

The victim is listed in serious condition.

The last incident happened around 30:05 a.m. in the 4500 block of Erdman Avenue.

Officers found a 32-year-old man shot in the right leg.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where he is listed in good condition.
