The full weight of the Baltimore Police Department is behind the investigation to find Suiter's killer.
At a news conference Thursday afternoon, Commissioner Kevin Davis and Mayor Catherine Pugh were emotional as they described the kind of man Suiter was.
In the York, Pennsylvania neighborhood where the former Navy officer lived; more fond memories.
"I feel very depressed because he works really hard. He used to work really hard, and now that I heard about him passing away, it's very depressing to hear about," said Suiter's neighbor, Jessica Urresta.
Commissioner Kevin Davis said, "We remain dedicated and committed to finding the person who ended such a beautiful life, such a wonderful detective, husband, father and friend."
Baltimore police leaders say they learned Thursday night that someone made a Go Fund Me page for Suiter but caution that page is fake and the family never set one up.
