BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police are searching for the repeat offender who has been charged for the attempted murder of a 33-year-old woman.

On July 2, at around 10:50 p.m., police said a woman was shot in the back of the head inside her home in the 1000 block of Walker Avenue. After shooting the victim, the suspect grabbed a knife and attempted to stab her in the torso, but she was able to escape and get help.

The victim identified the suspect as 26-year-old Devin Segar, of the 2700 block of Edison Highway. A warrant that charged him with first-degree attempted murder was issued for his arrest.

In addition to the previously stated warrant, Segar has two other open warrants: one for attempted kidnapping and sexual assault that happened in February 2018 and a second for armed carjacking and rape that happened in May 2018.

He has managed to elude police and continues to commit violent crimes, so anyone who has seen Segar or who knows where he is is asked to either call Warrant Apprehension detectives at (410) 637-8970 or call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7Lockup.
