Son of Coppin State head baseball coach found dead Thursday night

BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police have confirmed that Sherman Reed Jr., son of the head baseball coach at Coppin State University was shot and killed Thursday night in the area of 3800 West Patapsco Avenue.

Police say just before 8 p.m. they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the head in his home.

His father, Sherman Reed, Sr. is the winningest manager in Coppin State history and just finished his ninth season.
