Three people shot in separate Southwest Baltimore late-night shootings

BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police are investigating two separate shooting that injured three people in Southwest Baltimore Thursday evening.

The first incident was reported at 9:19 p.m and 9:46 p.m. when officers were called to area hospitals to investigate walk-in shooting victims. Officers observed a 21-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the leg and a 18-year-old man with a shot to his shoulder.

Both of the men told police they were wounded in the 900 block of Poplar Grove Street. Investigators were able to find evidence at the scene that backed up the victims' claims.

Then around the same time, officers responded to the 300 block of South Augusta Avenue to investigate a reported shooting. At the scene, they found a 18-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound to her ankle.

The woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
