Three shot, one dead in overnight shootings

Three people were shot overnight in southeast Baltimore, with one fatality, police said.

Around 12:15 a.m. officers responded to the 1300 block of Elrino Way for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived they found a 31-year-old man shot in the leg. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Police believe the victim was shot in the 6200 block of Toone Street.

Around five minutes later,  officers were called to the 3400 block of Round Road for a report of gunshots. Officers found Maleek Shaheed, 27, suffering a from a gunshot wound to his chest. He was taken to a hospital where he later died.

A short time later a 24-year-old man walked into a hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg. Police believe both men were shot on Round Road.
