Two men dead after separate shootings in Baltimore

BALTIMORE, Md. — Baltimore Police are investigating two homicides that happened in the city on Friday.

Police say a 29-year-old man was found shot in the 4000 block of Pennington Avenue in South Baltimore. They say the man was sent to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center where he later died moments after arrival.

Police later identified the man as Tyrone Johnson.

Another homicide was reported in West Baltimore around 3:50 p.m. when a ShotSpotter Alert notified patrol officers. Officials say a officers where then dispatched to the 1400 block of Mosher Street to investigate the shooting.

Officers at the scene later located a 55-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. Medics were called to the scene and pronounced the man dead.

The man was later identified as John Holland Jr., of the unit block of Bernice Avenue.

Homicide detectives are investigating both of the incidents.
