BALTIMORE (WMAR) — Following a violent Tuesday that saw 8 people shot, two men were killed on Wednesday one mile apart in West Baltimore.

Just after 1 p.m. officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of Presstman Street for a reported shooting. There units found a 25-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds to the body. He was transported to an area hospital, where he later died. The man was later identified as Tyrell Davis.

Over three hours later, about a mile away police responded to the 2800 block of Parkwood Avenue. Upon arrival officers located a 24-year-old male shot to the body. He too died after being taken to a hospital.

Less than 24-hours earlier, a man was shot during a home invasion robbery in the 3500 block of Ash Street in North Baltimore. Hours before that five other men were shot while standing outside of a Northwest Baltimore deli. Two additional people were shot in Baltimore on Tuesday, one in the 4300 block of Parkton Avenue and the other in the 2000 block of W. Baltimore Street.

There have now been 299 people killed in Baltimore in 2018.

Police are also continuing to investigate an early Wednesday morning assault that occurred inside a McDonald's that ended with a 60-year-old man collapsing and dying. The Medical Examiner's Office will rule on the official cause of the mans death.
