Two men shot, injured in separate early morning shootings in Baltimore

BALTMORE — Baltimore Police are investigating two shootings that happened early Friday morning in Baltimore.

According to police, the first shooting happened a little after midnight when officers were alerted by a Shotspotter on the 1000 block of Greenmount Avenue. Police say officers at the scene found a 41-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds to his torso and leg.

The man was taken to a nearby hospital seriously injured.

Shooting detectives are investigating this incident and are asking anyone with information to call (410) 396-2433.

Another shooting was reported around 2:40 a.m. after officers were notified of a discharging in the area of 5900 Radecke Avenue. At the location, officers reportedly found a 38-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower right leg.

The man told officers that he was walking in the area when he heard gunshots and then realized he was shot.

He was later taken to an area hospital for treatment.
