Two men shot near Baltimore school

BALTIMORE — Two men were shot near a Baltimore school Wednesday afternoon.

The shooting occurred near the Green Street Academy in Baltimore's Carroll-South Hilton neighborhood. Baltimore Police spokesman Jeremy SIlbert confirmed the shooting did not happen in the school. Police said the two men were shot on the basketball court behind the school, in the 100 block of N. Hilton Street, at about 1:24 p.m.

A WMAR staff member with family who attends the school said students were not at the school at the time of the shooting.

Both victims were 18-year-old men. One man man suffered gunshot wounds to his body, while the other suffered a gunshot wound to his leg. They were both talk to an area hosptial for treatment, police said.
