Two people dead in Baltimore City shootings Thursday night

BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police are investigating two homicides tonight in the city, both happening within an hour of each other.

The first shooting happened at around 8:10 a.m. in the 3700 block of Bowers Avenue.

Once at the location, officers found a 31 year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.

He was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

Homicide detectives currently have a person of interest in custody.

At around 8:52 p.m., officers responded to the 700 block of Mt. Holly for a report of a shooting and found a man with gunshot wounds to the head and neck.

Medics responded and pronounced him dead on the scene.
