Two stabbed to death within two hours in West Baltimore

Two men are stabbed to death in less than two hours on Sunday in West Baltimore.

The first incident was reported just after noon, when officers were called to the 2900 block of Brighton Street for a stabbing.

Upon their arrival, police located a 59-year-old Preston Merritt suffering from stab wounds.

Merritt was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Less than two hours later, just before 1:45 p.m. officers in the Western District were dispatched to the 1600 block of Bruce Street.

There, police found a 27-year-old male stabbing victim. 

He too was transported to a local hospital where he also died.

Investigators later learned the victim was involved in an argument with a family member. No other details were released
