Victim shot in the back while riding his bike Tuesday morning

BALTIMORE — A 47-year-old man was shot while riding his bike in Northwest Baltimore.

On Tuesday, at around 12:45 a.m., officers arrived to the 4800 block of Beaufort Avenue for a shooting. Once at the location, officers were unable to find a victim. However, a short time later, they did receive a call for a walk-in shooting victim that just arrived to an area hospital.

An officer arrived to the hospital to find the 47-year-old victim, who said that he was riding his bike in the 4800 block of Beaufort Avenue when he was shot in the back by an unknown suspect.

He suffered a non-life threatening injury, but Northwest District shooting detectives are investigating this incident and are asking anyone with information to either call them at (410) 396-2466 or call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7Lockup.
