Anne Arundel County Police and Baltimore City Police are working on a joint investigation of a missing and murdered Calvert County woman.
Officers from both departments responded to call of a deceased woman Thursday morning, September 28 in the 100 block of Old Riverside Road in Baltimore City, which borders Anne Arundel County. Police say the unidentified woman suffered trauma to her torso and was a victim of a homicide.
Late Thursday night, Anne Arundel County Police received a tip about a missing 18-year-old Danielle Valerie Gunson of Owings, Md. Officers learned Gunson possibly went missing in Anne Arundel County.
On Friday, September 28, the Baltimore City Homicide Unit identified the body found on Old Riverside Road as missing 18-year-old Danielle Valerie Gunson.
Detectives on the investigation say this was a targeted attack and not a random act of violence.
