Woman shot Tuesday morning while talking with friends

BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police say a woman was shot early Tuesday morning while talking with friends.

At a little before 2 a.m., Northwest District patrol officers responded to the 4800 block of Reisterstown Road for a report of a shooting.

Once on location, officers located a 28 year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. She was transported to an area hospital, where she is currently listed as being in stable condition.

Following an investigation, it was revealed that the victim was in the 4800 block of Reisterstown Road, talking with friends, when she heard several gunshots. The victim attempted to flee the area, but realized she had been shot.
