WHITE MARSH, Md. — Baltimore County Police are investigating the shooting of a 23-year-old man in White Marsh Thursday night.
Officers responded to Whitby Road near Van Dyke Road after a man knocked on a resident’s door asking for help, police said. The man said he was walking along Whitby Road around 9:45 p.m. when he heard gunshots. He then realized he’d been hit.
The man was take to an area hospital to treat his single gunshot wound to his lower body. He is expected to survive.
Police are asking anyone who may have heard gunshots or seen the shooting to call 410-307-2020. Tips can be submitted anonymously to Metro Crime Stoppers, who offer a reward for information that helps lead to a felony arrest, at 1-866-7LOCKUP.
Wednesday afternoon, another man was shot in Reisterstown.
Police are investigating the shooting that occurred in the 300 block of Bryanstone Road at 1:22 p.m. The man was taken to an area hospital to treat a gunshot wound to his lower body. He is expected to survive. Police say a suspect was taken into custody at the scene. The Baltimore County Police Violent Crimes Unit is investigating.
