An altercation in Baltimore County between a security guard and a citizen left the said citizen dead.

On Saturday, just after 2 a.m., Baltimore County Police arrived to the 6500 block of Baltimore National Pike, 21228 for a shooting. When they arrived, they found out that there had been an altercation between the security guards of the business and a male subject in the parking lot. The security employees were asking patrons to leave the parking lot because the business was closed. The suspect, however, refused to leave the parking lot and, after being asked several times to leave, he went to his car and retrieved a handgun. As the suspect pointed his gun in the direction of one of the security guards, the guard fired his gun and hit the suspect in the upper body.

After being struck multiple times, the suspect ran a short distance and collapsed. He was transported to Saint Agnes Hospital and was pronounced dead at 2:34 a.m.

No one else was injured during this incident and the security guard remained on the scene. Baltimore County Police will continue their investigation and will submit their findings to the Baltimore County State’s Attorney’s Office for a final determination.

The suspect has been identified as Ron Worsley, 34, of the 4900 block of Parkton Court. However, the name of the security guard will not be released, at this time, due to this ongoing investigation.
