Baltimore County Police are investigating a shooting that happened in Middle River on Tuesday afternoon.
Officers and EMS were called to the scene of the 1500 block of Dornton Avenue for a report of a woman shot inside of a home.
The woman suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Investigators say a male suspect fled the scene in a car.
Detectives from the Baltimore County Police Department Violent Crimes Unit are investigating the incident.
