Baltimore County Police arrested a man suspected of stabbing a 20-year-old man in Hillcrest Park during an attempted robbery Sunday night.

Dorian Anthony Ross-Knox, 24, of the 2900 block of Rayshire Road in Baltimore, was arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, two counts of armed robbery, two counts of robbery, false statement to an officer, and false statement to an officer with the intent to cause investigation, police said. He is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.

Police said around 10 p.m. Sunday, a 20-year-old man was attacked by another man, later alleged to be Ross-Knox, who approached the man while brandishing a handgun. When the man fought back during the robbery, Ross-Knox allegedly stabbed him before fleeing the area. The man suffered life-threatening wounds but was expected to survive.

Ross-Knox aroused suspicion when he said he was also the victim of an attempted robbery in the park following the stabbing, police said. Investigators determined Ross-Knox was not a victim, but the perpetrator of the attempted robbery and stabbing, saying Ross-Knox approached the eventual victim and another man at gunpoint in his attempts to rob them.
