Police in Baltimore County identified the man accused of robbing a PNC Bank Sunday afternoon and leading them on a pursuit through Baltimore and Carroll Counties.
Melvin McDougald, 54, faces charges of armed robbery, robbery, first degree assault, theft and use of a firearm in the commission of a robbery.
Just before 1 p.m. on Sunday, McDougald entered the PNC Bank inside the Giant Food store in the 6300 block of York Road. He pulled out a handgun and gave the teller a note demanding money. After taking the cash he ran out of the store and got in a black GMC Yukon.

The pursuit ended when the front right tire on the Yukon became disabled and police took McDougald into custody near Reisterstown Road and McDonogh Road.
Officers recovered the gun and money from inside his Yukon.
