A man was shot and killed in the middle of the night in Lansdowne. According to Baltimore County police, at least one person saw what happened.

There are still blood stains in the parking lot of the Lansdowne Gardens Apartments near Silerton Road.

Police spokeswoman Officer Jennifer Peach says 32-year-old Mark Gibbs was shot in the upper body. Officers found him lying in the parking lot.

That’s where Gibbs died.

“He was there with a group of friends at one point. We’re not sure if that group of friends was still there when he was shot or if he was there alone or with somebody else. We’re still canvassing the area to try and get information and find witnesses who may have seen or heard something,” Peach said.

County police don’t think this shooting is gang related. At least one person saw the shooter run away, but investigators don’t have a solid description.
