PIKESVILLE, Md. — A man died on Monday in a Pikesville hotel from what seemed like a cardiac arrest, but now police are saying the man was murdered.
According to Baltimore County Police, officers were called to the Howard Johnson Hotel on Reisterstown Road in Pikesville just before 1 p.m. on Monday for a cardiac arrest call.
The housekeeping staff at the hotel said they found the unconsious man, later identified as 62-year-old Kenneith Earnest Gellner, when they entered to clean the room. Gellner was pronounced dead by medics at the scene.
Police announced on Thursday the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled the death a homicide by blunt force trauma.
Police are asking anyone who may have information to contact the Baltimore County Police Homicide Unit by calling 410-307-2020.
