Man expected to survive after being targeted in a Pikesville home invasion robbery

PIKESVILLE, Md. — Baltimore County Police are investigating an early morning Pikesville shooting.

On Saturday, at around 5 a.m., officers arrived to a home in Stirrup Court for a shooting.

A 22-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower body was immediately transported to a local hospital, where he is currently in good condition and is expected to survive.

Detectives believe that this incident began as a home invasion robbery where several suspects entered the home and confronted the victim at gunpoint. Sometime during the robbery, the victim was shot in the lower body.

Police are searching for several suspects in relation to this crime and believe that the 22 year old was targeted.
