Baltimore County Police are investigating a Saturday night robbery that put one man in the hospital.
Just before midnight, officers arrived to the 7800 block of Peninsula Expressway, where they found a man, 42, suffering from a gunshot wound to the lower body. According to the victim, he stopped his Jeep Grand Cherokee because of car trouble and was then approached by two men, one of them with a gun. The victim said they took his cellphone and wallet.
The man told police he tried to run away but was shot by one of the suspects. The man continued to run and was able to flag down another person who called 911.
One of the suspects then drove away in the car they came in on, and the other stole the victim's vehicle. The man's car was later found just inside Baltimore City.
The victim was taken to a local hospital and is expected to survive his injuries. Anyone with information on the suspects involved in this violent crime is asked to contact police at 410-307-2020.
