Man will survive after being shot while exercising in Essex

ESSEX, Md. — A man suffered non-life-threatening injuries after being shot while exercising early Saturday morning.

Just before 1:30 a.m., Baltimore County Police arrived to the 900 block of Ashbridge Drive for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they located the victim, a 32-year-old man, who was suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body.

According to the victim, he was exercising around the neighborhood when he was approached by a suspect that threatened him with a gun and told him to get on the ground.

The victim refused and walked away. The suspect then shot the victim and fled. The victim was taken to a local hospital and is expected to survive his injuries.
