Baltimore County Police are investigating a Wednesday evening shooting that left 24-year-old man shot in Essex.
Police say the incident happened in the 1100 block of Punjab Drive when a group of men approached the victim in a parking lot and shot him in the upper body.
As the suspects fled the scene, a friend drove the shooting victim to an area hospital for his injuries.
Officials are working to find the motive for the shooting.
Investigators believe there may be a witness with valuable information regarding the incident. Anyone who may have seen or heard anything out of the ordinary in the area of Punjab Drive around the time of the shooting, or who may have information regarding the shooting, is asked to contact police at 410-307-2020.
