Multiple cars set ablaze on in Bowley's Quarters

Posted

Baltimore County Police are investigating a series of car fires that occurred Tuesday night into Wednesday morning in the Bowleys Quarters area of Baltimore County.

Between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 5 a.m. Wednesday, police and fire department units responded to four separate car fires that damaged six vehicles in the area.

Two fires occurred in the 400 block of Carrollwood Road in Middle River where a Cadillac and a Chrysler were burning in separate fires. In the 300 block of Carroll Island Road responders thought they were encountering a boat fire only to discover a Jeep parked behind the boat was actually ablaze. In the 3700 block of White Pine Road an Infiniti and a Suzuki motorcycle were burning, damaging a nearby Chrysler as well.

Detectives think the fires may be related, citing the clustered time frame and proximity. They have not determined if one or more suspects may be involved.

Baltimore County's fire investigative unit is looking into the fires and asks anyone with information to contact police at 410-307-2020.
